Job summary

CHI Health Good Samaritan is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic imaging for patients with cardiovascular conditions. You will apply advanced techniques to produce high-quality echocardiography images, assist in diagnoses, and support treatment planning.

The role requires solid patient positioning skills, independent judgment, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary cardiac team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent clinical training.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Adult Echo) within 12 months or equivalent credential.
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform state-of-the-art echocardiography imaging for cardiovascular conditions.
• Position patients correctly and acquire high-quality cardiac ultrasound images.
• Interpret and analyze images to support clinical decisions and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with the cardiac care team on complex diagnostic studies.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and provide education and compassionate care.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be a pivotal member of our cardiac team, performing crucial diagnostic testing to accurately diagnose and guide the treatment of patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Every day, you will apply your independent judgment and advanced technical skills to perform state-of-the-art imaging procedures for patients presenting with conditions such as heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, and acute myocardial infarction, supporting decisions from minimally invasive interventions to major structural repairs. To be successful in this role, you must possess a solid understanding of echocardiography imaging equipment, master proper patient positioning techniques, and expertly produce and analyze high-quality cardiac ultrasound images. Above all, you will continuously strive to deliver an exceptional and positive experience to our patients and their caregivers.

Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan, you'll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.

Pay Range

$34.69 - $51.59 /hour
