Job summary

CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, Nebraska seeks a Cardiac Sonographer to perform echocardiography and vascular imaging, producing diagnostic images for heart and vascular conditions. You will collaborate with the cardiac care team to support patient treatment decisions and ensure a positive patient experience.

The role requires completing an accredited sonography program and achieving certification within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent clinical training.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo within 12 months or related credentials within 12 months.
• BLS/CPR certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography and vascular duplex imaging with high-quality acquisitions.
• Interpret and correlate imaging with patient history to guide procedures.
• Educate patients and coordinate care with the cardiac team.
• Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Participate in ongoing mandatory education.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be a pivotal member of our cardiac team, performing crucial diagnostic testing to accurately diagnose and guide the treatment of patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.

Every day, you will apply your independent judgment and advanced technical skills to perform state-of-the-art imaging procedures for patients presenting with conditions such as heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, and acute myocardial infarction, supporting decisions from minimally invasive interventions to major structural repairs.

To be successful in this role, you must possess a solid understanding of echocardiography imaging equipment, master proper patient positioning techniques, and expertly produce and analyze high-quality cardiac ultrasound images. Above all, you will continuously strive to deliver an exceptional and positive experience to our patients and their caregivers.

• Assumes responsibility for assigned area, reporting equipment malfunctions and procedure difficulties.
• Is responsible for completing quarterly mandatory education requirements.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent clinical job training, upon hire
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, within 12 - months or
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, within 12 - months and
• Registered Vascular Technologist, within 12 - months or
• Registered Vascular Specialist, within 12 - months and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
