Job summary

CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, NE seeks a Cardiac Sonographer to perform imaging for cardiovascular conditions. You will apply advanced skills to acquire high-quality cardiac ultrasound images and support decisions from noninvasive to complex interventions.

The role requires mastery of echocardiography equipment, proper patient positioning, and delivering compassionate patient care while ensuring accuracy and safety in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or equivalent clinical job training.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo within 12 months or
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI within 12 months and
• Registered Vascular Technologist within 12 months or
• Registered Vascular Specialist within 12 months and
• Basic Life Support - CPR within hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiology or peripheral vascular exams.
• Corroborate clinical history and assess patient appropriateness of ordered procedures.
• Provide patient education and maintain patient confidentiality with care.
• Take responsibility for assigned imaging area and report equipment issues.
• Complete quarterly mandatory education requirements.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be a pivotal member of our cardiac team, performing crucial diagnostic testing to accurately diagnose and guide the treatment of patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.

Every day, you will apply your independent judgment and advanced technical skills to perform state-of-the-art imaging procedures for patients presenting with conditions such as heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, and acute myocardial infarction, supporting decisions from minimally invasive interventions to major structural repairs.

To be successful in this role, you must possess a solid understanding of echocardiography imaging equipment, master proper patient positioning techniques, and expertly produce and analyze high-quality cardiac ultrasound images. Above all, you will continuously strive to deliver an exceptional and positive experience to our patients and their caregivers.

Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan, you'll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service.
