UChicago Medicine is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer I for the Echo Department (Heart and Vascular Imaging Center) in the greater Chicagoland area. This 100% onsite role requires ARDMS/CCI registration within a year and BLS certification, with a minimum of one year in ultrasound, CW Doppler, and cardiac imaging.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, obtaining pertinent orders, and performing transthoracic and stress echo under supervision, while contributing to research and continuous

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Registration by ARDMS or CCI within one year of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least 1 year of ultrasound experience including CW Doppler and cardiac anatomy.

Mansioni

• Prepare patients for transthoracic and stress echo.
• Review indications and prior studies; refer to physician.
• Perform echocardiographic imaging under supervision.
• Record, charge and report procedures in ISCV/EMR.
• Participate in process improvement and research activities.
