Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform echocardiography procedures including M-mode, 2D, Doppler, 3D, and Stress Echo in a hospital setting in Chicago. The role supports timely patient flow and collaborates with cardiologists and nursing staff to ensure quality care.

The position prefers BLS/ACLS certification and a Bachelor’s in Health Sciences, with at least two years of echocardiography experience. Sign-on bonus eligible, comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
• CPR – Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred).
• CPR – Basic Life Support (preferred).
• Minimum of two years performing Echocardiography Exams.

Responsibilities

• Learns and applies echocardiograph techniques to competently perform procedures.
• Maintains procedures within designated time frames to support the daily schedule.
• Coordinates communications between referring physicians, department staff, and hospital staff.
• Develops proficiency in M-mode, 2D, Doppler, 3D echocardiography and Stress Echoes.
