Job summary

St. Davids Round Rock Medical Center is seeking a Sonographer II to perform diagnostic echocardiography for inpatient and outpatient cases, including 2D/M-mode, Doppler, stress echo, TEE, and ECG. You will work with physicians, document results, and support day-to-day lab operations.

Qualifications include 2 years of Echo experience, BLS certification, and RDMS/RDCS/RVT/RCVS options. This role emphasizes clinical judgment, quality imaging, and patient care in a busy cardiovascular lab.

Qualifications

Two years of clinical diagnostic Echo Sonographer evaluation experience.
BLS Basic Life Support issued through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
One of the following: RDMS, RCVT, RVT or RDCS Certification.

Responsibilities

Set up and perform all types of cardiac ultrasound and nuclear cardiology studies.
Perform necessary measurements and calculations related to Echocardiograms.
Document exams in logbook, prepare tracing for physician review, and enter charges in Meditech.
Order supplies for Echo lab and coordinate day-to-day operations.
Determine which tests to perform from referring physician when appropriate.
Exercise independent judgement to modify tests as patient condition dictates.
Participate in On-Call Program to ensure availability of a specialist PRN.
Assess patient conditions prior to and during all exams.
