Job summary

Adirondack Health seeks an experienced echocardiographer to produce detailed cardiac images and assess heart function for inpatients and outpatients. You will operate and adjust ultrasound equipment, maintaining patient comfort and data accuracy under Cardiology protocols.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited echocardiography program; RDCS certification preferred or obtainable within 12 months; BLS within 3 months; and 1 year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program.
• RDCS certification preferred or ability to obtain RDCS within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• 1 year of Echocardiographer experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed images of cardiac muscle and gauge heart function.
• Set up, monitor and adjust ultrasound equipment.
• Provide positive, professional communication and patient protection.
• Record accurate and complete clinical data.
• Follow protocols set by the Medical Director of Cardiology.
