Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in ultrasound.
• Technical diploma from an accredited two-year ultrasound program.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) required.
• 5+ years in a cardiovascular ultrasound role in a hospital or office.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and customer service skills; basic computer skills.
• Maintain active registry status and continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiograms and exercise stress echocardiograms.
• Provides expert assessment and preliminary interpretation for cardiologist review.
• Optimizes ultrasound image quality through anatomy/technique knowledge.
• Collaborates with clinical team to promote wellness and outcomes.
• Maintains cardiovascular lab functions and restocks supplies.
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoots technology issues as needed.
• Monitors vital signs and documents procedures.
• Performs ad-hoc duties as necessary.
• Experience with Phillips ultrasound machines is a plus.
