Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Cardiac Device Technician for Meadows Cardiology. The position involves thorough interrogation and re-programming of pacemakers and AICD devices, in-person, remote, and via phone transmission, with emphasis on timely communication with physicians and accurate EMR documentation.

The role requires five years of device experience or certification, remote transmission management, and strong patient education skills.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years’ experience analyzing and reprogramming cardiac pacemakers and AICDs (Biotronik, Boston Scientific, Medtronic, and St. Jude) OR cardiac device technology certification.
• Experience reviewing and managing remote device transmissions (Carelink, Latitude, Merlin).
• Current BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide thorough pacemaker and AICD interrogation and re-programming in person, remotely, or via phone transmission.
• Initial device analysis and preliminary report generation for urgent issues.
• Interrogate and re-program cardiac devices with minimal physician supervision.
• Troubleshoot device issues and coordinate resolution with care team.
• Document device analysis in EMR and communicate device status to physicians.
