Job summary

Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for the CV IMU with strong cardiac knowledge and 2+ years of acute care experience. The unit features a 24-bed CV IMU with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio and a Magnet-status hospital, offering opportunities for advancement through the Nurse Advancement Program.

RNs contribute to patient care in a Level 1 trauma context with collaboration across the care team, and prior IMU or critical care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN levels 1-3: 1-3 years; RN III: 3-10 years; RN IV: 10+ years.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing
• Certified in Basic Life Support

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients per nursing skills and patient needs.
• Coordinates nursing care with interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Develops and implements discharge or transfer plans.
• Participates in program evaluation and process improvement.
• Ensures patient care adheres to regulatory standards and hospital policies.
