The CT Technologist performs high-quality CT imaging at Acworth Health Park, ensuring patient safety and comfort. They operate imaging equipment independently, adhere to safety protocols, and maintain equipment hygiene. The technologist obtains patient history, verifies orders, explains procedures, and addresses patient questions using AIDET. They position patients, administer contrast when needed, and review images for diagnostic quality, repeating exams if necessary. Accurate documentation in RIS/PACS and timely study finalization are essential. They monitor patient conditions, respond to emergencies, and support department workflows to meet operational goals. Additionally, they maintain infection control, organize workspaces, and support regulatory compliance.
A high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and at least 1 year of radiology experience are required. Certifications include ARRT - R, ARRT - CT, and BLS. Candidates should demonstrate technical proficiency, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a team.
