Job summary

Acworth Health Park is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality imaging procedures and ensure patient safety.

You will operate CT equipment, obtain history, explain procedures using AIDET, and maintain infection control. The role requires ARRT CT and radiography credentials, and at least 1 year of radiology experience.

Qualifications

• Accredited Radiologic Technology program completion.
• At least 1 year radiology experience.
• ARRT certifications: Radiography and CT, plus BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans according to department guidelines, ensuring diagnostic accuracy and patient safety.
• Operate imaging equipment independently, adjusting techniques to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA).
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality, report issues promptly, and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Obtain clinical history, verify patient identity, and explain procedures to reduce anxiety using AIDET communication.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout procedures.
• Administer contrast agents via venipuncture using sterile techniques, and position patients correctly.
• Review images for quality, repeat or correct images as needed, and document procedures accurately in RIS/PACS systems.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with equipment and supply management.
• Coordinate workflow, support departmental operations, and ensure regulatory compliance.
