The CT Technologist is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality imaging at Acworth Health Park. They operate imaging/radiographic equipment independently, ensuring diagnostic accuracy while minimizing radiation exposure (ALARA).
Key duties include performing CT procedures according to department protocols, preparing and maintaining equipment, and maintaining infection control standards.
They obtain clinical history, verify patient identity, explain procedures using AIDET, and ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety.
They administer contrast agents via venipuncture, position patients correctly, and review images for diagnostic quality, repeating exams as needed.
Accurate documentation in RIS/PACS, monitoring patient condition, and responding to emergencies are essential.
The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and at least one year of radiology experience. Certifications include ARRT - R, ARRT - CT, and BLS.
