Job summary

Acworth Health Park is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality imaging with strict adherence to ALARA and patient safety. The role requires verifying orders, obtaining patient history, and explaining procedures using AIDET to ensure patient comfort.

Responsibilities include contrast administration when needed, precise patient positioning, image review, and repeating exams for diagnostic quality. You will maintain equipment, follow infection control, and support regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• At least 1 year of radiology experience.
• ARRT - R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT - CT certification.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures with attention to patient safety and ALARA principles.
• Obtain patient history and verify orders prior to scanning.
• Explain procedures to patients using AIDET and ensure comfort and safety.
• Administer contrast agents using sterile technique when needed.
• Position patients correctly and review images for diagnostic quality, repeating when necessary.
• Maintain imaging equipment and infection control standards.
• Handle documentation, respond to emergencies, and support department workflow in compliance with regulations.
