Job summary

Salinas Valley Health is seeking a part-time clerical/scheduling assistant for the Cardiac Diagnostic Outpatient Clinic. You will support daily operations, schedule procedures, pre-register patients in Meditech EMR, and maintain smooth patient flow while ensuring accurate documentation.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of clerical/scheduling experience; BLS certification is preferred. Pay includes shift differentials and a 0.5 FTE schedule with day shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status per American heart Association standards.
• 1–2 years clerical/scheduling experience preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support to Cardiac Diagnostic Outpatient Clinic staff.
• Schedule and reschedule inpatient/outpatient procedures, ensuring physician availability.
• Pre-register patients in EMR and obtain accurate demographic information.
• Answer and direct calls professionally; assist with department communications.
• Support patient flow and data collection for quality improvement.
