Job summary

University Health System in Lubbock, Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Intermediate Critical Care Unit (CICCU). The role supports adults and geriatrics in a 32-bed unit that serves patients transitioning from critical care to standard floors while providing a higher level of care.

Orientation ranges 8–12 weeks based on needs. The ideal candidate holds a Texas RN license (or compact license), BLS and ACLS, and BSN within 3 years of hire; PCCN is preferred with at least 1

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License
• Must maintain a current BLS & ACLS certification from American Heart Association
• BSN required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire
• PCCN Certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Registered professional nurse who assesses, implements or delegates, plans, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in accordance with established philosophy, providing and directing patient care for a group of patients.
• Relates effectively with other shifts/departments for optimal continuity of care.
