Job summary

Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, Texas, seeks a Cardiovascular Lab Technician per diem to scrub and monitor physiological data during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.

The role involves preparing the procedure room, tracking instrument levels, and supporting invasive and noninvasive cardiac workups under physician supervision. ARRT-R/RCIS and ACLS/BCLS readiness are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R license required.
• RCIS certification required or desirable.
• Experience in a Cardiovascular Lab preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and ACLS within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring data in the cardiovascular lab.
• Ensure the procedure room is prepared for the procedure.
• Monitor instruments and supplies; participate in staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
• Assist in invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures as needed.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• ARRT-R and license as required by State or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred.
• Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.
