Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support are required.
• ARRT/RCIS/RCES credentials required or eligible for new graduates within one year.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Cardiovascular Technology preferred.
• One or two years of related cardiovascular clinical experience may substitute for some education.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients ranging from infancy to elderly per departmental standards.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team to coordinate care across the continuum.
• Assist with patient assessment and transportation; stock procedure rooms daily.
• Prepare for invasive procedures using sterile technique; assist during procedures.
• Monitor patient status, document events, and notify care team of significant changes.
• Perform QC for invasive procedures and maintain equipment and room readiness.
• Provide post-procedural care, educate patients, and ensure hemostasis at insertion sites.

Education

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

ARRT or RCES or RCIS

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

New graduates eligible within 1 year

HS Diploma/GED

Associate degree (Cardiovascular Technology/Allied Health)
