Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions in the Cath/EP Lab. The role focuses on scrub support and technical resources for interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures, including PTCA, stent placement, IABP, and EP devices.

Qualifications include an accredited program, 1+ year Cath Lab experience, ACLS/PALS, CPR, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CCAHEP or ASCP/SCP accredited program preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in biology, anatomy, physiology, or a related field. At least 1 year of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab preferred.
• ACLS/PALS per contract requirements.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias in the Cath/EP Lab.
• Provide scrub assistance to cardiologists in interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.
• Support procedures such as PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement, EP devices and ablations.

Job description

Specializes in the care of patients undergoing PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement, EP devices and ablations. The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist functions as a technical resource and provides scrub assistance to cardiologists in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.

Minimum Requirements:
