Job summary

Amergis seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to assist physicians in a fast-paced Cath/EP Lab, supporting interventional cardiovascular procedures and patient care in a travel role.

The position requires graduates from an accredited program, ACLS/PALS, CPR, and compliance with health and safety standards. Benefits include weekly pay, health/dental/vision/life insurance, a 401(k), and recognition programs; contract duration is 13 weeks.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CCAHEP or ASCP/SCP accredited program preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in biology, anatomy, physiology, or a related field.
• ACLS/PALS per contract requirements.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias in the Cath/EP Lab.
• Specializes in care of patients undergoing PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement, EP devices and ablations.
• Functions as a technical resource and provides scrub assistance to cardiologists in interventional procedures.

Job description

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist functions as a technical resource and provides scrub assistance to cardiologists in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of CCAHEP or ASCP/SCP accredited program preferred.
