Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist for PRN shifts.

You will assist physicians in complex cardiac and vascular procedures using state-of-the-art cath lab technology, supporting patients and families through the treatment journey with careful, precise care. Responsibilities include assisting with angiograms and stent placements, preparing patients, operating cath lab equipment, and maintaining sterile conditions while ensuring safety and high-quality

Qualifications

• One year of Cath Lab Tech work experience preferred.
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (EMT-State) EMT, or (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.
• Associate Degree, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree.

Responsibilities

• Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
• Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
• Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
• Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient
