Job summary

St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, part of St. David’s HealthCare, seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our cardiovascular team. You will work with physicians to perform advanced cardiac procedures, guide patients and families, and ensure precision and safety in every step of treatment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient advocacy, and use of state-of-the-art cath lab technology, with on-going education and certification support provided.

Qualifications

• Cath Lab experience preferred.
• ACLS and BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Associate degree required.
• RT/ARRT/RVT/RCIS credentials must be obtained within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures (angiograms, angioplasties, stents).
• Prepare and support patients and families before, during, and after procedures.
• Operate and maintain advanced equipment for safe treatment.
• Monitor patient responses with vigilance to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a sterile environment and advocate for every patient.
