Job summary

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to support complex cardiac procedures with precision and compassion. You will work with physicians during angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements, providing patient education and ensuring safe, effective care.

Responsibilities include operating advanced equipment, monitoring patient responses, maintaining sterile conditions, and upholding radiation safety to deliver high-quality treatment.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Associate Degree required
• ARRT-R Radiography or RCIS/RCES credentials preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
• Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Operates and maintains advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
• Monitors patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
• Safeguards a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient
• May have access to contrast agents and other non-controlled medications as appropriate to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Takes call on a rotating basis
• Supports Methodist Healthcare System goals and safety policies
• Completes other duties as assigned
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of start date
