Job summary

TriStar Summit Medical Center is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech to join our team. The role involves scrubbing and assisting during interventional cardiovascular procedures, managing contrast and medications, and ensuring patient safety throughout the process.

Responsibilities include imaging, documentation in Meditech and PACS, and collaboration with the care team. On-call within 30 minutes is required, with a 4-10 hour shift pattern and rotating call.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program.
• Current RCIS or RCES certification from CCI, or ARRT-R.
• Basic life support (BLS) required within 30 days of start.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of start date.
• Experience in special procedures, thrombectomy, or neuro preferred.
• One year of Cath Lab or EP Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during interventional cardiovascular procedures, scrubbing and sterile setup.
• Administer contrast media and medications per age/weight guidelines.
• Start IV access and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Prepare patients by reviewing history and positioning for procedures.
• Operate imaging and lab equipment; document in Meditech and verify in PACS.
• Interpret tests, report results, and manage artifacts or errors.
• Maintain lab safety, clean environment, and proper waste disposal.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
