Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Professionals.
• SCRQSA Radiographer Certification required.
• ARRT Radiography (R) Certification required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 2 years as radiologic technologist or 1 year in Special Procedures/Vascular IR.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures per established protocols under radiologists.
• Assist during procedures and supervise student technologists.
• Verify orders and clinical information prior to procedures.
• Educate patients and obtain informed consent when needed.
• Adhere to radiation safety and ALARA principles.
• Maintain documentation and communicate with team and patients.
• Support department goals and be flexible with duties.
• Maintain licensure and participate in in-services.
• Assist in clinical education and team collaboration in imaging.
