Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiologic Technologist or Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist to assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac, peripheral, and EP procedures. The role involves collaboration with physicians, nurses, and team members to provide safe, high-quality patient care and accurate documentation.

Required ARRT RT-R or RCIS credentials, ACLS, CPR, and background clearances within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology (RT-R) or Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist (RCIS).
• Preferred: Associate degree.
• 1 year in a Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Integrates knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular physiology, pathophysiology, and procedural techniques being performed, and assists accordingly.
• Maintains expertise in current radiographic imagery techniques as they relate to invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures.
• Operates laboratory equipment; troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and contacts proper support personnel.
• Assists in monitoring the effects of procedural activities by identifying adverse reactions/conditions and properly responding.
• Completes all required documentation for procedures e.g. regulatory, billing protocols and image storage and archival.
