Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Radiology Technologist-in-training to assist in catheterization lab procedures and perform prescribed imaging under supervision. The role emphasizes cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedural support as well as equipment operation and documentation.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a radiology technologist program, have a High School/GED, CPR certification, and clear background checks.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Presently enrolled in radiology technologist program and in good standing.
• CPR certification required.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate required.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate required.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for and assists the physician in catheterization lab procedures by integrating knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular physiology, pathophysiology, and procedural techniques.
• Operates and troubleshoots imaging equipment and contacts proper support personnel as needed.
• Assists in monitoring the effects of procedural activities and responds to adverse reactions/conditions.
• Completes all required documentation for procedures including image storage and archival.
• Other duties as assigned.
