Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in cardiovascular and peripheral procedures to support physicians and nurses in diagnostic and interventional settings.

The role requires ARRT RT-R or RCIS certification, familiarity with radiographic imaging techniques for invasive procedures, and at least 1 year in a Cath Lab or related environment; a preferred associate degree will be considered.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Radiology.
• Certification: ARRT RT-R or RCIS within 1 year of hire.
• Preferred Associate degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Integrates knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular physiology, pathophysiology, and procedural techniques being performed, and assists accordingly.
• Maintains expertise in current radiographic imagery techniques as they relate to invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures.
• Operates laboratory equipment; troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and contacts proper support personnel.
• Assists in monitoring the effects of procedural activities by identifying adverse reactions/conditions and properly responding.
• Completes all required documentation for procedures e.g. regulatory, billing protocols and image storage and archival.
