Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a cardiac cath lab or interventional radiology.
• Radiography certification and registration with ARRT and related interventional radiography credentials OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist with CVCI.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Integrates knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular physiology, pathophysiology, and procedural techniques being performed, and assists accordingly.
• Maintains expertise in current radiographic imagery techniques as they relate to invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures.
• Orients new staff on the operation of laboratory equipment. Troubleshoots malfunctions, and is knowledgeable of proper support personnel and instances when they need to be contacted.
• Anticipates adverse reactions/conditions when monitoring the effects of procedural activities, and responds appropriately.
• Completes all required documentation for procedures e.g., regulatory, billing protocols, and image storage and archival.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or required.
