Job summary

Wayne UNC Health Care is seeking a Special Procedures/Cardiac Cath Technologist to perform diagnostic and radiographic procedures and assist in invasive, image-guided vascular procedures. The role emphasizes patient prep, contrast administration, and QC of imaging data.

The position requires RN licensure in North Carolina, ARRT registration, and experience in radiology procedures. Onsite work with a 40-hour schedule and commitment to patient safety and quality improvement is expected.

Qualifications

• Two years of formal Radiologic Technology training.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in NC; ARRT registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic, special and radiographic procedures.
• Assist in invasive procedures with scrubbing, circulating and monitoring.
• Prepare patients and ensure consent forms are complete.
• Administer contrast media per orders and manage IV therapy.
• Operate radiology equipment and transfer images to PACS with proper QA.
