Job summary

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED; graduate of an accredited radiology program.
• Completion of IABP, EKG, and hemodynamic monitoring classes within one year of employment.
• Certified ARRT-CRT.
• Required ACLS within one year; BLS, American Heart Association.
• Preferred RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist).
• ≥1 year as a radiology technologist.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging and therapeutic vascular procedures with radiation safety.
• Greet patients, explain procedures and post-procedure care.
• Verify exam order accuracy and document patient history.
• Complete consent, pregnancy, oxygen transport, and medication forms as indicated.
• Adhere to departmental protocols and age-specific safety practices.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Ensure exam completeness and organize work to meet deadlines.
• Manage oxygen tanks and related equipment per physician orders.
