Job summary

Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital is seeking an Invasive Specialist Tech to perform diagnostic imaging and support cardiovascular procedures. You will work under supervision, ensure patient safety, and document clinical history while maintaining high-quality image quality and equipment operation.

The role requires appropriate radiologic and emergency certifications, adherence to regulatory standards, and a commitment to exceptional patient care in a hospital setting in Homewood, AL.

Qualifications

• CVT—RCIS or RCES certification requirement.
• 2) RRT/CRT from an accredited program.
• 3) ARRT RT(R) licensure in the state employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures for cardiovascular interventions.
• Delivers patient care during orientation and procedural periods.
• Assesses patient condition and ensures safety, education, and comfort.
• Documents medical history and maintains accurate demographic and study data.
• Positioning of patient/equipment to obtain high-quality images.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Provides monitoring during diagnostic/interventional procedures and supports the physician as a scrub assistant.
• Maintains inventory and ensures timely case turnover per department standards.
• Complies with OSHA, JCAHO, FDA regulations and company policies.
