Qualifications

• RCIS or RCES certification required or in progress with plan to obtain.
• RRT/CRT from accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R)) license in state.
• Paramedic—NREMT-P with cardiac cath lab experience.
• Maintain BLS and ACLS; PALS may be required.
• 5 years Cardiac Cath Lab scrub experience.
• Must obtain RCIS within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers appropriate care while ensuring successful completion of procedures.
• Assesses patient condition and age-specific needs.
• Educates patient about procedures, safety, and comfort.
• Accurately documents patient history and records.
• Positions patient/equipment to obtain high-quality images.
• Ensures radiation safety for patient and staff.
• Monitors physiological and hemodynamic status during procedures.
• Supports physician as scrub assistant for cardiovascular procedures.
• Maintains aseptic technique and equipment readiness.
• Ensures timely case turnover and optimal workflow.
