Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan seeks a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) to support cardiac cath lab procedures and cardiovascular testing. You will monitor data, prepare reports, explain procedures to patients, and ensure equipment readiness and safety.

The role requires maintaining meticulous records and complying with Joint Commission standards. The position requires an allied health degree or RCIS eligibility, 1 year of acute care experience, and BLS certification; RCIS/ RICS

Qualifications

• Associated degree in allied health field or BS in health science; RCIS registry eligible.
• One year of allied health experience in an acute care setting or registry eligible RCIS.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiac catheterization and other cardiovascular testing.
• Monitor, analyze, and document data during procedures; alert physician to abnormalities.
• Explain testing procedures to patients to obtain cooperation and reduce anxiety.
• Prepare diagnostic reports for physician interpretation.
• Maintain and troubleshoot cardiology equipment; perform minor repairs as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, federal and state regulations.
