Job summary

The Cardiac Invasive Lab Tech at Mayo Clinic performs multiple roles in the cardiac laboratory, assisting physicians with invasive procedures and conducting various cardiac tests to monitor heart and blood vessel conditions.

You will prepare procedure rooms, prep patients, record information, assist circulating and scrubbing, operate imaging and hemodynamic tools, and ensure safety. Shift hours vary with on-call requirements, including days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist physicians in invasive cardiac procedures.
• Proficient in acquiring and interpreting hemodynamic data.
• Able to prep rooms and patients for procedures.
• Knowledge of X-ray fluoroscopy operation.
• Maintain strict safety guidelines in the lab.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in invasive cardiac laboratory procedures.
• Conduct various cardiac tests to monitor heart and blood vessel conditions.
• Prepare procedure rooms and prep patients for procedures.
• Record patient information and assist in procedures by circulating and scrubbing.
• Operate X-ray fluoroscopy, acquire/measure/hemodynamic data.
• Perform blood work analysis and prepare instruments for resterilization.
• Maintain safety guidelines for staff and patients.
• Work varied hours with on-call requirements.
