Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho is seeking a Day Shift, full-time Cardiac Cath Lab Special Procedures Technologist to join our team. You will support routine diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic procedures, ensure image quality, and uphold radiation safety standards in a fast-paced cath lab.

Responsibilities include data collection, documentation, fluoroscopic support, and collaboration with cardiology and lab leadership.

Qualifications

• Certification and current registration for Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or RCIS through CCI, or registry-eligible and must obtain within 90 days of hire
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• ACLS certification within six months of hire and maintained as current
• Attend 6-lead EKG course within six months of hire

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Cardiologist and the Director of the Cath Lab, performs all routine diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic special procedures and produces quality images while applying radiation safety
• Collects patient data and documents the procedure
• Performs all necessary special procedure radiographic procedures
• Assists physicians with fluoroscopic procedures
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Certification and current registration for Radiologic Technologist (R.T.) from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or registry-eligible and must obtain within 90-days of hire


• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.


• Obtain ACLS certification within six months of hire and maintain as current


• Attend 6 lead EKG course within 6 months of hire
