Job summary

Danbury Hospital’s Invasive Cardio Lab seeks an experienced registered nurse to provide quality nursing care for patients undergoing invasive cardiac and endovascular procedures. You will support physicians, manage pre-procedure education, and maintain sterile conditions in a high-stakes environment.

This role requires CT RN licensure, ACLS, BLS, and experience in cath lab or critical care settings. Expect exposure to demanding physical tasks and on-call duties as part of department operations.

Qualifications

• Interpret rhythm strips and monitor patient status during procedures.
• Sterile technique during cath lab procedures and equipment setup.
• Conscious sedation administration and monitoring per protocol.
• BLS and ACLS readiness and compliance are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and provide nursing care for patients of all ages in the cath lab.
• Provide IV access, sedation, and meds as needed; document responses.
• Document patient responses to medications and vitals in the medical record.
