Job summary

Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT is seeking a Per Diem RN Nurse Specialist for the Cardiology Laboratory to support invasive cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures, EP studies and ablations, and related therapies. You will assist the physician, monitor patient safety, and collect valid hemodynamic and radiologic data.

Requires CT RN license, ACLS, BLS, and a minimum of three years of experience; cath lab and critical care exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• CT RN license required.
• Minimum of three years experience.
• Cath lab and critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures and EP studies.
• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care and education.
• Maintain sterile environment and follow ACLS protocol during complications.
• Interrogate and reprogram permanent pacemakers/ICDs per physician order.
• Document procedures and patient responses in the medical record.
