Job summary

Danbury Hospital is seeking a Per Diem RN Nurse Specialist in the Cardiology Laboratory in Danbury, CT. You will support invasive cardiac procedures, EP studies and ablations, ensuring patient safety and accurate data collection under physician guidance.

Required CT RN license with ACLS/BLS; minimum three years of experience in cath lab or critical care is preferred. Expect significant on-call duties and a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in CT required.
• Minimum 3 years experience.
• Cath lab and critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, monitors and provides supportive nursing care and education to patients of all ages.
• Provides IV access and prepares/delivers procedural sedation and related medications.
• Documents patient responses and monitors meds peri-procedurally.
• Assists physicians during diagnostic/interventional cardiac procedures and EP studies.
• Maintains sterile environment and follows ACLS protocols.
