Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, EPIC EMR documentation, and patient education. The role emphasizes patient safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced Cath Lab setting.

The ideal candidate will hold an active NJ RN license with 2+ years of critical care or Cath Lab experience and ACS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS certification upon hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred with a minimum of 2 years critical care experience.
• Cath lab experience preferred; EMR experience (EPIC) preferred.
• Must be IV certified.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes during procedures.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care decisions.
• Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families for next care steps.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to smooth transitions of care.
• Support a collaborative team environment and opportunities for professional growth.
