Job summary
HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center in Houston seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Technologist to join our dynamic team. You will support patient care in the cath lab, assist the RN, scrub and run the table, archive imaging data, and provide post-processing data to physicians.
The role requires radiologic technology education, ARRT or RCIS certification, BCLS and ACLS within 6 months, and at least 1 year of related experience.
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Prior Cath Lab experience preferred.
- Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology required.
- ARRT and Radiology Technologist through the Texas Department of Health or RCIS certification required.
- Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
- ACLS certification within 6 months of employment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the R.N. in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of the Cath Lab patient.
- Function in a call-out situation by scrubbing and running the table (x-ray).
- Ensure archiving and storage of digital data and maintain proper operation of image review stations.
- Perform post processing manipulation of digital data to supply physician with additional clinical data.
- Function in a Code Blue situation.
