Job summary

UI Health radiologic technologist specialist in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab EP in Chicago, IL is seeking a qualified technologist to oversee cath lab imaging and support complex procedures.

Requirements include ARRT radiography registration, IL state accreditation, ACLS CPR, and two years of radiologic technologist experience. On-site, with 10-hour days, four days per week and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Current/valid ARRT Radiography registration.
• Current/valid Illinois State Radiologic Technologist accreditation (IEMA).
• ACLS CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• Two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Oversees staff radiographers and organizes work within diagnostic sections.
• Assists in complex diagnostic and special radiographic exams, including fluoroscopy when necessary.
• Uses two patient identifiers before starting any exam or procedure.
• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment including fluoroscopy and IVUS/OCT systems.
• Maintains a sterile field and updates protocol manuals.
• Provides On-Call coverage and acts as charge tech when needed.
