Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab Rad Tech to operate specialized radiographic equipment for cardiovascular procedures, support sterile technique, and assist physicians during invasive cases. The role requires ARRT or Texas Radiology Technologist credentials, RCIS may apply with ARRT, and BCLS/ACLS within 6 months.

Candidates should be capable of handling high-stress situations, standing long periods, and meeting on-call requirements as part of a dynamic hospital team

Qualifications

• ARRT and Texas Radiology Technologist license (or equivalent)
• RCIS credentialed personnel may apply if ARRT not held
• Direct supervision by a licensed practitioner is required for invasive procedures
• Must comply with state radiologic procedures laws and regulations
• Current BCLS certification is required
• ACLS certification within 6 months of employment
• Ability to perform stress EKGs or take an EKG course is preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate specialized radiographic and invasive procedure equipment
• Ensure supplies are available for procedures
• Apply radiation protection devices and techniques appropriately
• Assist physician as scrub tech and operate fluoroscopic equipment safely
• Maintain sterile technique and orient new staff in procedure duties
• Fulfill assigned on-call obligations
