Job summary

Houston Physicians Hospital is seeking a PRN Cath Lab Technician to join the Cardiac Cath Lab team. The role involves assisting Cardiologists with catheterization procedures, maintaining equipment setup, monitoring data, and ensuring radiation safety in line with state regulations.

The candidate should have invasive cardiovascular technology experience and relevant certifications (RCIS or ARRT), with a background in data entry and LV analysis software. PRN hours and on-site work are offered.

Qualifications

• Two years full-time invasive cardiovascular technology experience.
• Associate degree or higher with specific hours in health/science fields and 1 year in invasive cardiovascular technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences with 6 months in invasive cardiovascular technology.
• Graduate of an accredited invasive cardiovascular technology program or equivalent with 800 clinical hours.
• Certification: RCIS or ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates technical proficiency for cardiac catheterization procedures in primary role as Cardiac Cath Lab Technician or Hemodynamic Recorder.
• Identifies cardiac structures and disease processes.
• Practices radiation safety per Texas regulations and Radiation Safety Committee requirements.
• Assists physician by entering data into Physiologic Monitoring System for hemodynamic measurements.
• Reports Ejection Fraction using LV Analysis software and understands related cardiac diseases.
• Archives angiographic and procedural data for long-term storage in both hard copy and digital formats.
