Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn in Sunset Park is seeking a Physician Assistant for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab to provide patient care within the department and subspecialties as needed. You will perform diagnostic assessments, participate in rounds, document encounters, and collaborate with physicians, nurses and staff to ensure safe, high-quality care.

A NY state PA license and BLS/DEA are required with at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant program.
Currently Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York.
Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.
DEA Certificate required.
At least 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Practices within the scope of delineated privileges.
Provide direct care to individuals and families consistent with NYU Langone Health-Brooklyn's goals.
Obtain detailed history and perform physical examinations, write orders after physician consultation, and monitor patient response.
Documentation of all patient encounters and maintenance of unit records.
Evaluation and management of critical care patients and perform emergency life-saving procedures when needed.
Participate in rounds and collaborate with other health care professionals and families.
Provide preventive health services including counseling and teaching, and participate in Quality Improvement activities.
