Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn invites applications for a Physician Assistant in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The PA will provide patient care in the department and subspecialties, follow established protocols, and support nursing and staff with orders and care plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Currently Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York.
• Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.
• DEA Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to patients in the Department and subspecialties as needed.
• Follows established standards, procedures, and practices.
• Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations; writes orders after consulting with a physician.
• Maintains patient records and participates in rounds and interdisciplinary care.
• Performs emergency life saving procedures in the absence of a physician.
• Participates in quality improvement and departmental committees.
