Job summary

The Cardiac Cath Lab/IR Nurse at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital provides expert RN care in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology, supporting perioperative and ASA1/ASA2 patients with emphasis on the Watson Model of Care.

The role requires strong assessment, critical thinking, SBAR communication, with responsibilities including monitoring hemodynamics, assisting with procedures, documentation, and collaboration with cardiology, radiology, perioperative teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related degree; ASN or Diploma accepted with Cath Lab/IR experience.
• California RN license required; BCLS and ACLS certification required; bilingual skills preferred (Spanish)

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology.
• Perform nursing assessments and plan care using the Watson Model of Care.
• Document IPOC and communicate changes using SBAR.
• Assist with intubation and ventilated patients during procedures.
• Monitor hemodynamics and manage coagulation pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.
• Collaborate with Cardiology, Radiology, and Peri-Op teams to ensure safety and quality.
