Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related Bachelor of Healthcare degree; ASN or Nursing Diploma with Cath Lab/IR experience may be considered
• 6-12 months Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred
• CA RN license; BCLS and ACLS required; CRN/CCRN preferred
• Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish)
• Proficiency with standard hospital computer systems and EMR

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates use of nursing process to anticipate and plan patient and family needs
• Nursing assessment focused on the patient population and situation; prioritize and organize care
• Provide care appropriate to age and needs of patients; apply current literature and critical thinking
• Conduct hourly rounding and maintain therapeutic nurse/patient relationship
• Communicate using SBAR in all hand-off situations
• Document patient care including IPOC per policies
• Assist with procedures and monitor hemodynamic parameters and equipment
• Collaborate with ICU, Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology and perioperative teams
• Ensure patient safety and maintain hemodynamic stability during and after procedures
• Admit and recover patients per policy; monitor coagulation and anticoagulation management
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and participate in quality improvement
