Job summary

UW Health’s Cardiac Catheterization Lab at University Hospital in Madison is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a high-performing cardiovascular team. You will care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing complex procedures, collaborating with physicians, fellows, and researchers in a university-affiliated medical center.

The role requires BSN preferred, WI RN license, CPR/BLS, ACLS within 6 months and PALS within 6 months, plus at least 6 months of inpatient ICU or cardiac cath lab

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• 6 months nursing experience in Inpatient Units and Central Float (Adult & Pediatric), Radiology, Hemodialysis, Cardiovascular Laboratory is required or you must be a current participant in UW Health's Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.
• Current RN license in the State of WI or a license that has adopted the nurse licensure compact.
• CPR/BLS Certification required; ACLS within 6 months; PALS within 6 months.
• Relevant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing complex cardiovascular procedures and diagnostic cardiac catheterizations in UW Health's Cardiac Catheterization Lab at University Hospital in Madison, WI.
• Collaborate with physicians, fellows, researchers, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Participate in shared governance and quality improvement initiatives; contribute to practice changes in a dynamic academic medical center.
