Job summary

UAB Medicine's Cardiac Cath Lab in Birmingham seeks a results-driven leader to plan, direct, and evaluate the daily operations of the Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Laboratories. You will partner with physicians and nursing leadership to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while ensuring regulatory compliance and financial stewardship.

You will lead staffing, budgeting, throughput, and quality initiatives, advancing cardiovascular services and improving patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Three years of leadership experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or cardiovascular area.
• RN Candidate must have active Alabama RN license and BLS/ACLS required.
• Cath Lab Technologist Candidate with RCIS or ARRT CV experience and BLS/ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and clinical leadership for daily functions of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Electrophysiology Laboratory.
• Lead and develop departmental staff through recruitment, coaching, mentoring, and ongoing education.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, budgeting, supply utilization, and labor expenses to achieve financial goals.
• Drive quality, safety, and performance improvement by monitoring outcomes and regulatory readiness.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow and service delivery.
• Participate in strategic planning, evaluating new technologies, and improving access to cardiovascular services.
